Andrew Emdon - Cameraman & EditorBorn 24 February 1952 in Johannesburg South Africa. Attended Schools in Johannesburg & Matriculated at Damelin College.
Did an apprenticeship in Photo Lithography specializing in Camera Work & Assembly which was known as repro. Worked for a number of associated companies in Cape Town finally at a Flexographic trade house called Syreline. Moved over to DTP & Graphic design on computers in the mid nineties.
Continued till 2002 in flexographic repro & changed my career to full time Videography & Photography 2002 to now.
I always enjoyed photography from the age of 12 having my own black & white darkroom & doing my own processing. I started the photographic society at school.
From the age of 16 I photographed friends older siblings weddings.
I continued as a freelance photographer. I started to do freelance videos of weddings in September 1982 & have through the years have had a successful second job (mainly on weekends).
Moving through to 2002 I kept up the part time work and formed a full time business with my son Julian in March 2002.
Personal life:
I am married with 3 adult children Leila, Amy-Lee & Julian.
My wife is a full time music & piano teacher.
My hobbies are art, & playing keyboards in a blues band & an experimental band. (more mental)
Sports, are Karate (Black Belt), Swimming in the cold Atlantic (My cure for all stress)
& Squash with a sadistic Chinese friend I can never beat!

Julian Mark Emdon - Cameraman & Editor
Julian Mark Emdon was born in Cape Town on the 21st April 1980, were he grew up for the most part in the Green Point area.
His interest in videography began at age 11 when he started using his father’s video camera to create movies with his friends.
He attended Ellerton Primary School and Camps Bay High School after which he enrolled at City Varsity Film & Television & Multimedia School where he was awarded his diploma in Film and Television Techniques, majoring in Camerawork and Lighting. He also developed his editing skills during this time.
After Film School he joined in partnership with his father Andrew, and formed Emdon Video Productions. He has since then produced and directed music videos, shot and edited countless wedding and corporate videos, multi-camera shoots and various productions of all types.
In his spare time Julian is an accomplished musician, guitarist and music producer. He lives with his long-term girlfriend Kate, they have been together since 2002 and live in Green Point, Cape Town.
